Mookie Betts homers and drives in two runs

by Jon Mathisen | Dodgers Correspondent | Wed, Jun 16th 2:22am EDT

Outfielder Mookie Betts went 3-for-5 with a home run, two RBI, and a strikeout as the Dodgers took down the Phillies 5-3 on Tuesday.

Fantasy Impact:

Betts came up with a pair of clutch hits in this one. He broke up a 3-3 tie with a solo home run off of Ranger Suarez in the bottom of the seventh inning. He then tacked on an RBI single off of Archie Bradley in the eighth to add an insurance run for Los Angeles. After hitting just three home runs over the entire month of May, Betts has now gone deep three times in the last six games. His .258 batting average still leaves a lot to be desired but he's swatted 18 doubles and eight home runs while driving in 25 runs and swiping six bags on the season.
