Greg Holland blows save, tagged with the loss Wednesday

by Brad Camara | Wed, Jun 16th 10:41pm EDT

Kansas City Royals pitcher Greg Holland (2-2) allowed three runs on two hits and a walk in 1/3 of an inning during Wednesday’s 5-4 loss to the Tigers. He was charged with the blown save and tagged with the loss.

Fantasy Impact:

Holland was tagged with the loss after surrendering three runs over a 1/3 of an inning during Wednesday’s game. He yielded a two-run shot to Wil Castro and then allowed a single to Robbie Grossman, who scored on a wild pitch from Scott Barlow. Holland is used in high-leverage situations and should be rostered in all leagues which reward the category solds (saves and holds). The veteran right-hander owns a 4.32 ERA, 1.52 WHIP, and 27 strikeouts across 25 innings in 2021.
