Ian Kennedy allows one run in return from IL

by Andersen Pickard | Thu, Jun 17th 8:36am EDT

After being activated from the 10-day injured list just hours earlier, Rangers closer Ian Kennedy was called on to pitch the ninth inning against the Astros. Houston was leading by a score of 7-4, so the decision to use Kennedy was likely just to get him some live game work following his injury. Ultimately, the 36-year-old allowed one run on two hits, including a solo homer. He also struck out once Houston batter.

Fantasy Impact:

Through 22 games this year, Kennedy dons a 2.82 ERA, 1.12 WHIP, and .220 OBA. He's also amassed 12 saves while striking out 26 batters and walking just two.
