Kevin Gausman rolls to eighth victory

by Jon Mathisen | Blue Jays Correspondent | Thu, Jun 17th 9:43pm EDT

RHP Kevin Gausman earned the win on Thursday when he allowed two runs on four hits with one walk and six strikeouts across eight innings as the Giants took down the D-Backs 10-3.

Fantasy Impact:

Gausman cruised through the first six innings on Thursday, allowing just two base runners. The D-Backs got to him a little in the seventh when he allowed a single to Pavin Smith and a double to Eduardo Escobar to start things off. Both runners would come around to score but Gausman settled down, got out of the inning, and pitched a clean eighth inning as well. The 30-year-old continues to dominate start in and start out this season. He now owns a ridiculous 1.51 ERA, 0.77 WHIP, and 103:19 K/BB ratio over 89 2/3 innings (14 starts). He'll take on the Angels in Anaheim in his next turn.
