Astros slugger Yordan Alvarez reached base twice over four plate appearances on Thursday. Officially, he went 1-for-3 with a single and was also hit by a pitch. He scored once and struck out twice in the effort.
Alvarez is slashing .302/.356/.509 with nine homers and 35 RBI this year. He's posted similar splits at home and on the road, and he's also hit righties and lefties fairly equally. This balance in splits is very valuable from a fantasy baseball perspective because it means that he can be trusted no matter the matchup.
