In Saturday's 6-2 win against the Mets, Jon Lester tossed a quality start and earned the win. He allowed seven hits, two earned runs, and zero walks with six strikeouts in six innings.
Fantasy Impact:
This was Lester's first quality start since May 12 and he lowered his ERA below 4.00 to 3.96 on the season. After a rough May where Lester had a 5.92 ERA and 1.48 WHIP, Lester pitched better so far in June with a 2.61 ERA and 1.40 WHIP. However, it's difficult to imagine Lester sustaining success with the high WHIP.
