Julio Urias smashed by the Friars on Monday

by Jon Mathisen | Tue, Jun 22nd 11:49am EDT

LHP Julio Urias took the loss on Monday when he surrendered six runs on six hits with four walks and five strikeouts across four innings as the Dodgers lost to the Padres 5-2.

Fantasy Impact:

Urias was not at his best on Monday, issuing a season-high four free passes and allowing six earned runs, which ties another season-high. He served up a pair of home runs to Manny Machado and Jake Cronenworth and needed 87 pitches--52 strikes--just to get through four innings. The 24-year-old had a 5.23 ERA over his last four starts and may be experiencing some fatigue at this point in the season. He now owns a 3.99 ERA, 1.07 WHIP, and 95:17 K/BB ratio across 88 innings (15 starts). He'll aim to bounce back against the Cubs this weekend at home.
