Trevor Bauer serves up three homers in no-decision

by Jon Mathisen | Thu, Jun 24th 1:52am EDT

RHP Trevor Bauer took a no-decision on Wednesday when he allowed three runs on five hits with four walks and 10 strikeouts as the Dodgers lost to the Padres 5-3.

Fantasy Impact:

Bauer was victimized by the long ball on Wednesday as all three of the Padres' runs came via the home run. Jake Cronenworth and Manny Machado went back-to-back in the bottom of the first inning and Victor Caratini broke up a 2-2 tie in the bottom of the seventh with a solo shot of his own. Bauer was able to notch double-digit strikeouts for the first time in six starts but showed some control issues with four free passes. He's walked 13 batters over his previous four starts. The 30-year-old right-hander now owns a 2.57 ERA, 0.97 WHIP, and 129:36 K/BB ratio across 101 2/3 innings (16 starts). He'll square off against the rival Giants at home in his next start.
