Blake Taylor falls victim to extra-innings rule in loss

by Andersen Pickard | Rangers Correspondent | Sun, Jun 27th 8:05pm EDT

Astros reliever Blake Taylor was hit with the loss on Sunday after allowing one run while retiring one batter in the 10th inning. The Tigers started the frame with a free runner on second base, then moved him up to third on a groundout. They sealed the walk-off win on a sacrifice bunt, giving Taylor an unlucky loss.

Fantasy Impact:

Taylor is now 0-2 with a 3.07 ERA, 1.16 WHIP, and .214 OBA this year. He's allowed just five walks while striking out 15 batters. A southpaw himself, Taylor has preserved a 0.71 WHIP and 1.43 OBA against left-handers.
