Phillies reliever Jose Alvarado allowed three earned runs on one hit and two walks while striking out one over 2/3 of an inning Friday night against the Padres. He was credited with a hold.
Fantasy Impact:
Alvarado blew a 3-0 lead on Friday, but he was credited with a hold as Ranger Suarez came in and got tagged with the blown save. Even without the official blown save designation, however, Alvarado likely cost himself future save opportunities. Look for the Phillies to try Archie Bradley or Hector Neris in the ninth inning as they continue to look for a reliable closer.
