Yadier Molina homers and steals a base on Friday night

by Lucas Spence | Sat, Jul 3rd 10:21am EDT

Yadier Molina filled up the box score on Friday night, going 3-for-5 with a home run, two runs scored, three RBI, and a stolen base in a 9-3 win over the Rockies.

Fantasy Impact:

Molina got the scoring started with a two-run homer in the second inning. He then gave the Rockies the lead in extra innings with a go-ahead RBI single in the top of the tenth inning as the catalyst for what would become a six-run inning for St. Louis. Molina also picked up his second stolen base of the season as well, part of a double-steal with Tommy Edman. Molina slumped terribly in the month of June, but he sure has started out the month of July with a bang. Overall, he's hitting .257/.304/.428 on the season with a .732 OPS to go with 26 runs scored, eight home runs, 37 RBI, and two steals in 62 games played.
