Andy Martino of SNY reports the Mets aren't willing to make top prospects Francisco Alvarez or Brett Baty available for trade this summer. (SNY)

Martino adds that the Mets don't want to trade any of their top-10 prospects for a midseason upgrade, which is how most MLB teams operate these days. Alvarez and Baty, in particular, are enjoying fantastic minor league campaigns. Pitching reinforcements as well as a star third baseman (Josh Donaldson, Kris Bryant) are two areas where the Mets might be seeking an upgrade come deadline day.
