Rockies closer Daniel Bard demonstrated command issues on Tuesday night as he allowed a single and two walks to the Diamondbacks, loading the bases in the bottom ninth of a tied game. He then hit a batter to end the game, giving Arizona a 4-3 win.
Bard earned the loss and is now 4-5 with a 4.29 ERA, 1.63 WHIP, and .278 OBA. He's also walked 18 batters while striking out 47. The closer had allowed zero runs and just three hits over his last four outings heading into Tuesday's affair.
