Triston McKenzie was masterful on Friday night against the Royals, spinning seven shutout frames while striking out nine en route to a no-decision.
This was McKenzie's best start of his career. The 23-year-old struggled mightily with walks earlier this year, but he allowed just one free pass on Friday evening. If he has put his control issues behind him then McKenzie could be in for a big second half performance. Fantasy managers in need of pitching help should absolutely look to pick him up, just to see where this goes.
