Domingo German allowed two runs on three hits with two strikeouts in two-plus innings of relief work Sunday as the Yankees lost to the Astros by an 8-7 score.

German who missed his last start to undergo a root canal picked up some innings in a relief role. The 28-year-old is 4-5 on the season with a 4.44 ERA and is expected to return to the rotation after the break.
