Luke Voit (knee) lands on the 10-day IL

The New York Yankees have placed first baseman Luke Voit (knee) on the 10-day injured list Friday with a bone bruise in his left knee. (Bryan Hoch on Twitter)
Fantasy Impact:
According to Bryan Hoch of MLB.com, Voit is scheduled to have a lubricating injection in his knee and potentially PRP therapy. It’s unclear when Voit sustained the knee injury, but he will miss at least the next 10 days. This comes at a terrible time for the Yankees as they are down six players due to positive COVID-19 tests. Chris Gitten was recalled in a corresponding move and will handle first base duties while Voit is sidelined.
