Mike Yastrzemski homers twice in win over the Cards

by Jon Mathisen | Giants Correspondent | Sat, Jul 17th 2:29pm EDT

Outfielder Mike Yastrzemski went 2-for-4 with two home runs, four RBI, a walk, and a strikeout as the Giants beat the Cardinals 7-2 on Friday.

Fantasy Impact:

Yastrzemski had a huge day at the plate, going yard twice and driving in four runs. He took Adam Wainwright deep in the top of the fourth inning for a solo shot and followed that up with a three-run blast in the top of the seventh. The 30-year-old outfielder had an up and down first half of the season but he's certainly off to a hot start in the second half. He's slashing .238/.339/.492 with 14 home runs, 38 RBI, and one stolen base over 260 at-bats this year.
