Max Fried pitched seven innings against the Rays Saturday night, allowing four hits, and one walk while fanning seven batters. He earned a win and a quality start with this one, his record is 7-5 on the year. He threw 96 pitches, 60 for strikes. Fried carries a 4.29 ERA.
Fantasy Impact:
Fried was locked in from the start of this one, even going 3-for-3 at the plate with two runs scored and two RBI. His curveball was particularly effective tonight against a tough Rays lineup. He's set the bar pretty high for himself now, hopefully, he can add some consistency going forward.
