Paul Goldschmidt homers in third straight game, extends hitting streak

by Lucas Spence | Cardinals Correspondent | Sun, Jul 18th 12:04am EDT

Paul Goldschmidt had a big game at the plate on Saturday, going 3-for-4 with a two-run homer in a 3-1 win over the Giants.

Fantasy Impact:

Goldschmidt hit an opposite-field homer against Anthony DeSclafani in the sixth inning to extend the Cardinals lead. We've been hyping Goldy as a buy-low target for the past few weeks, but that window has likely closed after tonight. Goldschmidt has homered in three straight games and has hit safely in 12 straight games, a span in which he's hitting .417 (20-for-48). He's raised his average from .247 to .270 in the process.
