Kenley Jansen blows the save on Sunday

by Jon Mathisen | Red Sox Correspondent | Mon, Jul 19th 12:07am EDT

RHP Kenley Jansen blew the save on Sunday when he allowed one run on two hits over one inning as the Dodgers lost to the Rockies 6-5 in extra-innings.

Fantasy Impact:

Jansen was tasked with protecting a one-run lead on Sunday but couldn't get the job done. He served up a double to Ryan McMahon to lead off the inning before Chris Owings singled him in to tie the game. It was his first blown save since May 5 so fantasy managers can't get too upset. Jansen has put together a very solid year with a 1.45 ERA, 1.04 WHIP, and 41:22 K/BB ratio over 37 1/3 innings. He's 21-for-24 on save opportunities as well.
