John Means takes his third loss in return to field

by Lucas Babits-Feinerman | Orioles Correspondent | Wed, Jul 21st 1:30pm EDT

John Means allowed five runs on seven hits, zero walks, and two strikeouts in five innings.

Fantasy Impact:

Means threw 78 pitches, allowed six hard-hit balls, got five whiffs, and topped out at 94.2 MPH. He made his first start since June fifth, and despite the blow-up, he still has a stellar 2.72 ERA and 0.87 WHIP in 76 innings this season. The bad news for fantasy managers is he's got a 4.25 xFIP which indicates room to the downside for his ERA. Means will face the Marlins in his next start.
