Joey Gallo reportedly won’t be dealt by the trade deadline

Jon Heyman of the MLB Network is reporting that “some rival teams” believe Texas Rangers outfielder Joey Gallo won’t be moved by the MLB trade deadline. (Jon Heyman on Twitter)

Gallo is under team control in 2022 and rival teams believe he will remain in Texas by the deadline. The Rangers could try to extend the 27-year-old to a long-term extension, but it remains to be seen if Gallo will be moved by July 31. The two-time All-Star is slashing .230/.388/.505 with 24 home runs and 52 RBI across 89 games in 2021. Stay tuned.
