Brad Hand took the loss after allowing the winning runs in the 10th inning. Hand threw two innings while allowing one hit, two runs (one earned), and one walk with zero strikeouts.
Hand has typically been reliable as a closer but he struggled a tiny bit on Wednesday. Even so, his season-long ratios are still solid with a 2.63 ERA and 1.07 WHIP. The Nationals have shown confidence in Hand throughout the season, so no need to panic right now.
