Kwang Hyun Kim finally gives up a run, pitches well again in win over Cubs

by Lucas Spence | Thu, Jul 22nd 11:06pm EDT

Kwang Hyun Kim notched another quality start on Thursday, pitching six innings and allowing just two hits, two earned runs, and a walk while striking out seven in a 3-2 win over the Cubs.

Fantasy Impact:

Kim had not allowed a run in his previous three starts and took a 24-inning scoreless streak into the fourth inning before serving up a two-run double to Jake Marisnick. Kim has been nothing short of terrific over the past month as he has now won five consecutive starts. He'll take an impressive 2.88 ERA and 1.17 WHIP into an interleague matchup with the Indians next week. He's certainly worth rostering in all leagues at this point given how well he has been pitching.
