Tanner Houck shines in Thursday’s short start

Tanner Houck was called upon to start Thursday’s game against the Yankees. He did not disappoint. He went 4.2 innings allowed two hits, zero earned runs, and struck out eight.

Fantasy Impact:

Houck is now the proud owner of a 2.50 ERA. His usage is the big question mark here. It looks as if the Red Sox are attempting to stretch him out as a back end of the rotation starter. Given Garrett Richards struggles, it is likely Houck will replace him. If this is the case, he is definitely worth a speculative add due to the strikeout potential and the run support he should receive.
