Rockies reliever Lucas Gilbreath fired a perfect 10th inning to secure the save on Friday. He induced a popout, strikeout, and groundout to end the game. Colorado edged out the Dodgers by a score of 9-6.
Gilbreath threw just six strikes and two walks en route to his first save of 2021. The reliever has produced a shaky 6.62 ERA this season, so the Rockies were surely relieved to see him perform at a much stronger level in a critical spot against the division-rival Dodgers.
