Luis Castillo (4-10) earned the win Saturday against the Cardinals, allowing one run (zero earned) on four hits and three walks across seven innings. He struck out nine.
Fantasy Impact:
Castillo turned in arguably his strongest start of the season Friday against St. Louis. The only run he allowed came in to score after an error extended the inning. Castillo owns a 1.42 ERA in five July starts, and has struck out 33 in 31.2 innings in the month. Overall, he owns a 4.12 ERA and 1.38 WHIP across 115.2 innings. He seems to have put his early season struggles behind him.
