Free agent pitcher Cole Hamels remains in search of an MLB contract. According to Ken Rosenthal of The Athletic, "the 38-year-old has yet to receive an offer he finds acceptable [and] plans to continue ramping up his throwing regimen." Hamels threw a bullpen session containing three sets of 25 pitches recently. (Ken Rosenthal on Twitter)
Hamels recently showcased himself in front of several MLB teams but was unable to find a deal that pleased him. The former All-Star and World Series MVP allowed just three runs over 3.1 innings with the Braves last season before injuring his throwing shoulder. He is 163-122 with a 3.43 ERAA throughout his career.
