Whit Merrifield reportedly drawing interest from the Mariners

Mark Feinsand of MLB.com reports that the Seattle Mariners are making a push to acquire Kansas City Royals 2B/OF Whit Merrifield. (Mark Feinsand on Twitter )
Fantasy Impact:
Merrifield is under team control through 2023 and would give the Mariners speed and a versatile bat. He currently leads the majors with 25 stolen bases. The 32-year-old is slashing .272/.319/.402 with eight home runs, 52 RBI, and 56 runs scored across 426 plate appearances in 2021. Merrifield would give the Mariners a strong presence at the top of the order and provide Seattle both infield and outfield depth. Stay tuned.
