Joe Kelly records first save of the year on Sunday

by Jon Mathisen | Dodgers Correspondent | Sun, Jul 25th 8:44pm EDT

RHP Joe Kelly picked up the save on Sunday when he allowed one hit over a scoreless ninth inning in the Dodgers' 3-2 win over the Rockies.

Fantasy Impact:

Kenley Jansen has struggled over the last week but was also unavailable to pitch so Kelly ended up getting the save opportunity. He allowed an infield single to C.J. Cron to lead off the ninth inning but then retired the next three batters in order with a pair of groundouts and a strikeout. The 33-year-old owns a 3.46 ERA, 1.08 WHIP, and 31:7 K/BB ratio over 26 innings this season.
