Cleveland right-hander James Karinchak threw a scoreless eighth inning in a 3-2 win over the Rays on Sunday. He worked around one walk in the frame.

Karinchak picked up the win, improving his record to 7-2, to go along with a 2.84 ERA, 1.06 WHIP, 11 saves, and 69 strikeouts over 44 1/3 innings of work. He has been splitting save opportunities with Emmanuel Clase for much of the season.
