Johan Oviedo was characteristically wild on Sunday afternoon, yielding five hits, three earned runs, and six more walks while striking out six in just 4 1/3 innings in a no-decision against the Reds.
Oviedo surrendered a three-run homer to Joey Votto in the first inning, but thankfully his offense bailed him out and got him off the hook for the loss. Not including Sunday's game, Oviedo has four other games this season with four or more walks. Amazingly, the six he issued Sunday tied his season-high set back on May 28th. The right-hander (4.91 ERA, 1.57 WHIP) is simply too erratic to trust in fantasy leagues, even in an attractive home matchup next weekend against Minnesota.
