Rockies reliever Carlos Estevez was charged with the loss on Sunday after failing to preserve a 2-2 tie against the Dodgers. He allowed a solo homer in the eighth inning. Colorado ultimately fell to Los Angeles by a score of 3-2.
Estevez is now 2-2 with a 5.24 ERA, 1.37 WHIP, and .273 OBA this season. He's also walked 11 batters while striking out 34. The right-hander has now allowed 17 runs over 21 innings of work between June and July.
