Noah Syndergaard (elbow) could be used in relief role upon return

by Brad Camara | Mon, Jul 26th 5:13pm EDT

New York Mets general manager Zack Scott said Monday that he's leaving the door open for Noah Syndergaard (elbow) to return from the 60-day injured list as a reliever in September/October. (Tim Healy on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact:

Syndergaard continued to work his way back from Tommy John surgery and was shut down in May with right elbow discomfort. He played catch earlier this month and is on track to return sometime in August. The 28-year-old is worth stashing in dynasty and deep-league formats, but in standard 10-12 team leagues, fantasy managers can move on from Thor with the latest news.
