Kyle Muller pitched five innings against the Mets in the first game of the doubleheader Monday, allowing four hits and two walks while striking out three batters. The Braves bullpen pitched an additional two shutout innings and Muller earned the victory, his record stands at 2-3 on the year. He threw 75 pitches, 46 for strikes. He carries a 2.55 ERA.
At some point, manager Brian Snitker is going to free Muller and let him pitch deeper into games and hopefully, that will happen soon. Muller has not pitched six innings in any game yet. Until he does, his value, while still good, is limited for fantasy purposes, especially in those leagues that score quality starts.
