First baseman Cody Bellinger went 1-for-4 with a single, a run scored, and two strikeouts as the Dodgers lost to the Giants 2-1 on Tuesday.
Bellinger missed the last two games with a hamstring issue so this was his first game back. He singled and the Dodgers' only run in the top of the fifth inning but he ended up costing Los Angeles the game with a costly throwing error in the bottom of the eighth. It's been an absolutely awful season for the former NL MVP so far. He's got a .163 batting average and .555 OPS to go along with four home runs, 20 RBI, and two stolen bases over 153 at-bats.
