Logan Webb looks sharp over six innings

by Jon Mathisen | Giants Correspondent | Wed, Jul 28th 1:27am EDT

RHP Logan Webb took a no-decision on Tuesday when he allowed one earned run on three hits with one walk and five strikeouts over six innings as the Giants beat the Dodgers 2-1.

Fantasy Impact:

Webb was locked in on Tuesday, needing just 80 pitches--52 strikes--to get through his six innings. He didn't allow a run until the fifth inning when Billy McKinney singled in Cody Bellinger. The 24-year-old now owns a 3.36 ERA, 1.19 WHIP, and 70:22 K/BB ratio over 67 innings (14 appearances, 13 starts). He's absolutely a useful fantasy arm and should be rostered in standard mixed leagues. He gets a tough test in his next start when the Astros come to town.
