Tyler Rogers earns the win on Tuesday

by Jon Mathisen | Giants Correspondent | Wed, Jul 28th 1:44am EDT

RHP Tyler Rogers got the win on Tuesday when he worked a scoreless inning of relief, allowing two hits and punching out one in the Giants' 2-1 win over the Dodgers.

Fantasy Impact:

Rogers worked the eighth inning with the score tied up at 1-1 and quickly ran into some trouble by allowing a single and a double with a strikeout wedged in the middle. He was able to work his way out of it and ended up earning the win as the Giants took the lead in the bottom half of the frame. It was Roger' second win of the season and he now owns a sparkling 1.91 ERA, 1.04 WHIP, and 27:9 K/B ratio over 47 innings. He's been a valuable asset in NSH leagues, recording 17 holds and 11 saves this year.
