Astros starter Lance McCullers Jr. allowed four runs on six hits and three walks over six innings of work against the Mariners on Tuesday. He also struck out three batters in the process. The 27-year-old was credited with the victory as Houston ultimately defeated Seattle by a score of 8-6.
McCullers improved to 8-2 on the season. He has a 3.23 ERA, 1.22 WHIP, and .199 OBA in addition to allowing 48 walks and striking out 115 batters. The right-hander, who hadn't allowed more than three runs in a single outing between April 15th and July 20th, has now allowed a total of eight runs over his last two starts.
