Astros first baseman Yuli Gurriel went 2-for-4 with a pair of singles against the Mariners on Tuesday evening. He also walked and scored once. Houston ultimately defeated Seattle by a score of 8-6.
Gurriel has been a hitting machine this season, amassing a .313/.382/.465 slash line with 10 homers, 59 RBI, 41 walks, and 41 strikeouts. He's quieted down in July, hitting just .254 with six walks, 12 strikeouts, and zero homers. If he goes the rest of the way without going yard, it would be his first month without a homer (minimum five regular-season games) since May of 2018.
