Peter Fairbanks was diagnosed with inflammation in his right shoulder after taking the loss in Wednesday's game against the Yankees, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports. (Marc Topkin on Twitter)

Fairbanks came on to pitch in the 10th inning on Wednesday and was charged with the loss after allowing two runs (one earned) on one hit. After the game, it was revealed the 27-year-old reliever is dealing with a shoulder issue.
