Rockies reliever Lucas Gilbreath was thrust into an opener role on short notice against the Angels on Wednesday. He allowed one run, two hits, and two walks over one inning of work. Colorado ultimately fell to Los Angeles by a score of 8-7.
Gilbreath did not factor into the final decision, so he is still 0-1 this year. He also owns a 6.41 ERA, 1.68 WHIP, and .256 OBA over 19.2 innings on the mound. He's now allowed three runs over seven outings in the month of July.
