The Los Angeles Angels have traded pitcher Andrew Heaney to the New York Yankees on exchange for Janson Jack and Elvis Peguero. (Ken Rosenthal on Twitter )

Heaney is a flyball pitcher, which is not a great fit for Yankees stadium. He will provide the Yankees pitching depth and give New York a reliable starter. Heaney owns a 5.27 ERA, 1.31 WHIP, and 113 strikeouts across 94 innings in 2021.
