Jacob deGrom has been shut down for two more weeks as additional inflammation has occurred in his right arm. The best-case scenario for him is to now return in September. (Anthony DiComo on Twitter)
Fantasy Impact:
deGrom was en route to a historic 2021 campaign prior to injury. Rocking a 1.08 ERA with 146 strikeouts across 92 innings, the NL Cy Young seemed to have been all but handed out. The superstar pitcher should remain rostered, but with his return not being for at least another month, deGrom's 2021 fantasy value takes a huge hit.
