Brad Hand pitched in a setup role in his Blue Jays debut Friday, allowing an unearned run on two hits in the eighth inning of the 6-4 win over the Royals.

Hand was traded from the Nationals to the Blue Jays on Thursday. The veteran reliever looks to be a candidate for saves in Toronto, but it's clear that he won't simply be handed the closer's role.
