Erik Swanson blew the save on Sunday against Texas, allowing three runs on three hits without recording an out.
Swanson got the opportunity after Diego Castillo and Paul Sewald each pitched on Friday and Saturday. The Mariners took a 3-1 lead entering the ninth inning, which was quickly wiped away after Swanson allowed a single followed by back-to-back home runs. Swanson was on fire entering this appearance, going 12 straight appearances without allowing a run entering Sunday. It was poor timing with everything going on after the Kendall Graveman trade, but the Mariners did leave a lot of runners on base and likely should have scored more runs as well you can argue.
