Logan Webb gets a quality start and win on Sunday

by Jon Mathisen | Giants Correspondent | Sun, Aug 1st 8:20pm EDT

RHP Logan Webb earned the win on Sunday when he allowed two runs on seven hits with one walk and three strikeouts over six innings as the Giants took down the Astros 5-3.

Fantasy Impact:

Webb kept the powerful Astros offense at bay on Sunday in what was one of his more impressive starts this season. He allowed a two-run homer to Yuli Gurriel in the top of the first inning but was able to settle in after that and pitch five scoreless innings to earn the quality start. The stellar effort gives him a 3.33 ERA and 1.21 WHIP with 73 strikeouts over 73 innings (15 appearances, 14 starts). He'll get the Brewers on the road in his next start.
