Kris Bryant homers in Giants debut

by Jon Mathisen | Rockies Correspondent | Sun, Aug 1st 8:39pm EDT

Infielder/outfielder Kris Bryant went 1-for-4 with a solo home run with a strikeout in his Giants debut on Sunday, a 5-3 win over the Houston Astros.

Fantasy Impact:

Bryant started at third base and hit second for the Giants on Sunday. He put the Giants on the board in the bottom of the third inning when he took Luis Garcia deep for a solo home run. It was his only hit of the game but it was a big one. Overall, the 29-year-old is slashing .267/.357/.509 with 19 home runs, 52 RBI, and four stolen bases over 330 at-bats between the Cubs and the Giants. He should continue to be a top-flight third base option in fantasy leagues down the stretch.
