Charlie Morton gets a tough loss Sunday

by Steve Painter | Braves Correspondent | Sun, Aug 1st 11:43pm EDT

Charlie Morton pitched six innings against the Brewers Sunday, allowing three hits, two runs (both earned) while striking out six batters. The Braves offense was 1-for-9 with runners in scoring position today and the team lost 2-1, Morton's record falls to 10-4 on the year. He threw 87 pitches, 61 for strikes. He carries a 3.69 ERA.

Fantasy Impact:

Tough loss today for Morton and the Braves, but Morton has done well this year, certainly pitched good enough to get the win today, at least he earned a quality start. There should be no hesitation pitching him in fantasy every start.
