Rockies starter Austin Gomber, who had been one of the team's best pitchers as of late, allowed four runs over just one inning of work against the Padres on Sunday. His final line included four hits, two walks, and three strikeouts. The southpaw was hit with the loss as Colorado ultimately fell to San Diego by a score of 8-1.
Gomber is now 8-6 with a 4.04 ERA, 1.11 WHIP, and .215 OBA through 18 starts this year. He has also walked 28 and struck out 89 batters. The 27-year-old is 5-1 with a 3.18 ERA and 0.94 WHIP over his last seven starts.
